As a 501(c)3 organization, our training programs are at the foundation of our mission, and we aim to improve and expand our offerings to meet growing demand. Phius-trained and -certified professionals have already built hundreds of projects, but growing adoption of the Phius Standard will require more and more trained professionals. This position is new, and provides the opportunity to lead that growth.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Educational Content Manager to lead and coordinate curriculum development across several professional training programs and specialties. This role is essential in ensuring Phius’ training programs deliver high-quality educational content that equips industry professionals to design and build projects to the stringent Phius building energy standard and adhere to the quality assured certification process.
The Educational Content Manager will collaborate closely with internal technical staff and external subject matter experts in architecture, construction, and building science to manage, enhance, and ensure Phius’ delivery of high-quality training programs. The programs include online self-paced modules, live instruction, and hybrids that combine both.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and take ownership of comprehensive curriculum for multiple training programs in the high performance building design and construction sector
- Identify and catalog alignment, overlap, and synergies between educational offerings
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the curriculum is accurate, relevant, and engaging
- Liaison with the Phius Certification Team, Phius Technical Committee, software partners, etc. to ensure the most up-to-date protocols, software, and tools are integrated into Phius’ educational products
- Assess and analyze the effectiveness of existing programs, resources, and activities and make recommendations for improvements
- Create instructional materials, including presentations, manuals, and digital content that enhance the learning experience
- Occasionally conduct workshops, training sessions, and seminars to deliver educational content and foster a collaborative learning environment
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and educational methodologies to continuously enhance program offerings
- Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, educational institutions, and organizations to promote Phius training programs
- Manage curriculum and educational product update timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful program delivery
- Answer student and instructor questions related to content of curriculum
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or hands-on experience in education, architecture, construction management, or a related field
- Proven experience in curriculum development and educational program management, ideally in the building design and construction industry
- Strong understanding of building science, sustainability practices, and passive building principles
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficient in using educational technology and learning management systems (LMS)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and improve training effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
- Phius Certified Consultant (CPHC) or Phius Certified Builder (CPHB) credential
- Experience with Rise360 or Storyline360
