Explore Non-Residential Phius Certification at Our Spring Summit
An overview of the virtual Phius Non-Res Summit scheduled for May 20-21, 2025.
An overview of the virtual Phius Non-Res Summit scheduled for May 20-21, 2025.
The main reason we at Phius prefer the term passive building rather than passive house is to eliminate the misconception that Phius principles apply only to single-family homes. Phius has certified schools, oyster hatcheries, office buildings, libraries, rec centers and more. We even have a standard dedicated to non-residential projects.
To spread the word about the possibilities offered by the Phius standards for non-residential projects, we are hosting the virtual Phius Non-Res Summit 2025 on May 20-21! Continuing our Spring summit series, this year’s event will celebrate some exemplary non-residential Phius buildings, and attendees will get to hear from the project teams who oversaw their certification.
The Non-Res Summit will run from 4-6 p.m. CT on May 20 & 21. Each day has a discrete theme and learning objectives, with the first day focusing on case studies and the second day featuring a rundown of the Phius standards for non-residential projects.
Day 1 will spotlight real-world case studies from Phius practitioners who have certified non-residential buildings, including a Phius Certified school and library.
Day 1 speakers:
Day 2 will feature Phius staff experts who will break down how the Phius standard applies to non-residential buildings and provide practical guidance for achieving certification.
Staff members presenting:
Every non-residential project presents its own sets of challenges, and the Phius Non-Res Summit 2025 is designed to teach attendees how to overcome those challenges and demystify the process of Phius certification. This includes leaders of the Phius certification staff breaking down the Phius CORE COMM and Phius ZERO COMM standards for non-residential projects.
As with every project pursuing Phius certification, the Phius team is dedicated to helping every project cross the finish line. This is especially true with non-residential projects as we work closely with project teams to work through any and all challenges associated with the building.
Join us May 20-21 to explore the possibilities of non-residential Phius certification and find out if it is right for your next project!
