PhiusCon 2022 is coming home to Chicago Oct. 25-28 at the historic Palmer House.
Last year, we set our sights on expansion with our motto "Emissions Down, Scale Up!" and despite the obstacles presented by COVID, we shared that vision with a sold out crowd in Tarrytown, New York. PhiusCon 2021 (formerly North American Passive House Conference) created a wave of momentum, and we’re looking to carry that into PhiusCon 2022 as we build for the future.
And you can’t talk about building for the future without mentioning electrification, so we decided to put a charge into this year’s motto: “Emissions Down, Power Up!” But in order for PhiusCon 2022 to be as high voltage as possible, we need your help. We have opened the call for abstracts for this year’s conference, and we look forward to using them to shape our conference.
Proposals must be submitted by May 3.
We are welcoming proposals on:
- Passive building zero energy ready and zero energy best practices, design tools, science
- Proven technology, materials, mechanical/electrical systems and integrated component solution packages
- Embodied carbon reduction strategies: codes, tools, science
- Successfully completed case studies in all climates with all construction types: single, multifamily (lo, mid, hi), commercial, retrofits
- Financing solutions, proposals, and opportunities for deep energy retrofits and new construction passive projects
- Lessons learned from professionals in the field/practice
- Measured performance and monitoring results from occupied passive projects
- Phased retrofit planning for deep decarbonization to meet climate action plans, building energy performance standards (BEPS) and emission reduction targets
We look forward to reviewing the proposals and can’t wait to see you in Chicago this fall!
